The design budget hotel is located in Kaltenbach and is a certified Passive House Hotel. Included in addition to a rich breakfast buffet and Wi-Fi also sports Spa with sauna, steam bath and gym. The Explorer Hotel Zillertal is specifically geared to the needs of sporty and active guests. A special highlight is the bike and ski test center with Explorer workbench. The hotel also has practical sports locker in the reception area, an interactive Explorer Touch Wall and a cozy lounge with bar.

In addition to the comfortable double bed, the highlight is the large bench in the panoramic window with comfortable cushions, on which you can relax in a dream for two. The rooms are functionally equipped with plenty of counter space, hooks, shelves and cupboards. There is also a large safe where all valuables can be stored safely. The bathroom is a spacious room with a good living feeling. The oversized shower, the wall-high mirror and the extraordinary, bright color mosaic make a good mood and the walk to the bathroom a pure pleasure.
In the Explorer Hotel you start the day alive. From 7.00 am to 10.30 am, you can make your own breakfast from 70 fresh, high-quality and predominantly regional components.
Tip: Whether scrambled eggs, fried eggs, omelette, breakfast buffet or boiled egg ..., at the egg fry station it says “do it yourself“!
Even if there is no restaurant in the Design-Budget Explorer Hotel, you will not starve and die of thirst! The coffee machine is available during the day for self-service and at the cozy bar you get daily from 16.00 clock:

Just 600 meters from the Explorer Hotel is the valley station of the SKi-Optimal Hochzillertal cable car. 650 meters away from the hotel lies the adventure park Zillertal-Kaltenbach with a climbing garden, flying fox and 3D archery. Summer and winter there are also various tours available, including canyoning, kayaking, rafting or ski touring. Cultural highlights are z. For example, take a trip to the Erlebnis Sennerei, the Goldschaubergwerk Hainzenberg or the Spannagelhöhle. In 46 minutes you can also reach the year-round open ski area on the Hintertux Glacier. There you can take a trip to the Nature Ice Palace.

Arriving by Car:
-A12 Inntal motorway - exit Zillertal, continue on B169 (15 km) until exit Ried
- From Munich / Salzburg / Vienna on the A1, A8 and A93 to Kiefersfelden. Continue on the A12 (toll sticker required) to the Zillertal exit or toll-free via the Achenpass on the B181 Achenseestrasse to Wiesing. Then on the B 169, exit Ried.
-From Vorarlberg / Innsbruck on the A12 to the Zillertal exit. Continue on the B169, exit Ried
From Klagenfurt on the A 10 to Salzburg From Graz on the A9 to Liezen. Then on the A 10 to Salzburg or to the exit Bischofshofen (see above).
Arriving by train:
Arriving by express train to the train station Jenbach / Tirol, from there continue with the Zillertal train to the station Kaltenbach. From there it is only 180 meters to the Explorer Hotel
