The Gasthaus Birke is the ideal starting point for many excursions and trips to the region of Hochschwarzwald, to France or to Switzerland.

Welcome to the Gasthaus zur Birke in Kirchzwarten-Burg in the beautiful valley Dreisamtal. The house is built on the remains of an old Celtic castle (Tarodunum). This small guesthouse features 5 modern and spacious double rooms which were renovated in April 2013. All rooms are equipped with a shower/lavatory, flat screen telelvision and free Wi-Fi access.

Arriving by car

Please take the motorway A5 Freiburg Central in direction Donaueschingen/Titisee-Neustadt exit on B31. Drive though the tunnel. Take the third exit (Buchenbach, St. Märgen, Burg). (ATTENTION: Do not take the exit Kirchzarten, but the next exit: St. Märgen, Burg).

Arriving by public transportation

Take the train from Freiburg in direction Donauschingen/Titisee-Neustadt. Train station Himmelreich an go 10 minutes in direction castle/Burg
