Austria’s first architecture hotel
The 98-room Martinspark Hotel is located in the centre of the garden city of Dornbirn in Vorarlberg, near the four-nations region where Austria, Germany Switzerland and Liechtenstein meet.
From the 4-star architecture, conference and business hotel, it is just a few minutes to Dornbirn’s historic city centre with its old market square, the landmark Rote Haus (“Red House”) and the many museums focused on both the past and the present.
Clear lines, exclusive materials
With the use of simple, natural materials and the inclusion of modern art, the duo of architects Carlo Baumschlager & Dietmar Eberle set a new standard in design.
Upon entering the foyer, guests come upon a colossal pink bucket, second by second being filled by steady drops of water from the ceiling. The themes seized upon in the sculpture, “Irritation im Sekundentakt” (“Irritation by the Second”) by Dornbirn artist Wolfgang Flatz, are picked up and seamlessly continued by the waterfall on the outside wall of the hotel restaurant. |
