New York-based architecture firm HWKN built the property as an exciting place with a living room atmosphere that invites people to gather and get inspired, making your stay in the city a perfect one. Instead of traditional conference rooms, the Scandic München Macherei offers two welcoming meeting studios, each one for up to 12 people. Our social staircase in the open-design living room area is a welcome change of pace for networking, talks, or creative workshops.
In the immediate vicinity, you´ll find the modern Design Offices München Macherei, which offer 16,500 square meters of event space and offices for various occasions.


Our guests spend the night in modern rooms decorated in the Scandinavian style. To make sure you are perfectly comfortable, you will find each room equipped with a seating area, a flat-screen TV, and an en-suite bath with a shower, hair dryer, and “FACE Stockholm” toiletries. Some of our rooms also feature a kitchenette. Comfortable box spring beds ensure that you get a good night’s sleep, and sustainable details make for a healthier environment. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the property, and a bottle of water is provided in your room on arrival. Our fitness center is an excellent place to relax and recharge. Our public areas and 24 of our rooms are fully accessible.

To make sure you are perfectly comfortable, you will find each room equipped with a seating area, a flat-screen TV, and an en-suite bath with a shower, hair dryer, and toiletries along with an electric kettle. You will receive a bottle of water on arrival.

Some of our rooms also feature a kitchenette. Comfortable box spring beds ensure that you get a good night’s sleep, and sustainable details make for a healthier environment.

And for those who want to work from their hotel room, all of our rooms feature a small work area with a desk and chair. Naturally, we also have rooms for guests with mobility restrictions.

Food & Beverages

Our spacious restaurant area serves up creative cuisine with Scandinavian and Bavarian inspiration. Get your day off to a good start with our varied breakfast, featuring a minimum of 50% organic products, and a good cup of fair trade coffee. We take special dietary needs into account, offering options such as lactose-free milk, lactose- and gluten-free baked goods, and further products for those with allergies.

On some business days, we serve a light business lunch, which you are also welcome to take to go. Our restaurant, Zieglerei, focuses on healthy, modern cuisine with seasonal influences, which you can enjoy in a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

Our lobby shop carries a range of small everyday items and is open 24 hours a day, offering soft drinks, snacks, and hygiene products.
